Recovery requires more than patience. It requires attention, courage, and action. At UnPatient, you’ll learn the art of active recovery – step by step, with your mind and body as your compass.
Some days just… suck. Don’t let them get the better of you!
This free blueprint will teach you how to take good care of yourself on days like these, without panicking or judging yourself.
A practical tool full of recognition and self-compassion — built from experience, not theory.
From conventional to alternative and complementary: there are countless therapies, but which one really works for you?
Based on my own recovery from TBI and burnout, this e-book will help you gain an overview and make choices that suit your mind, body, and recovery phase.
Practical, honest, and immediately applicable.
Recovery isn’t just about persevering, but about learning to move again — literally and figuratively.
In this keynote, I’ll share my story about what the art of active recovery truly means. Using lessons from urban development, entrepreneurship, and personal recovery, I’ll demonstrate how resilience becomes the engine for innovation, growth, and lasting energy.
UnPatient represents a new way of approaching recovery.
Don’t wait, take charge.

And transform: from patient to UnPatient.
I’m Sandra Poelman, founder of UnPatient and director of Glowingplaces. Drawing on my own recovery experience and years of professional experience, I’ll help you regain control over your mind and body.
My story
In 2009, I suffered a traumatic brain injury (TBI) after a serious accident. At the time, I was told I would be disabled for life. Through active recovery, courage, and perseverance, I gradually regained my energy and work capacity. I now share that experience with you through UnPatient.
My mission
I believe that everyone, regardless of the challenge, can regain control over their energy, recovery, and self-direction. With practical strategies and insights, I help you shape your new self — in a way that suits your mind and body.
Also Glowingplaces
I am also the director of Glowingplaces, specializing in transforming cities and communities into vibrant hotspots. The knowledge and principles I apply there — people-centered working, connecting, and taking action — are also incorporated into my approach at UnPatient.
